Beeswax candle with propolis, pollen and honey , reproduces the aroma of the beehive in your home.

Hand-poured in a metal jar with a double wick in natural wood. The wooden wick allows the slow combustion of the active ingredients of Alvearia and reproduces the typical crackling of burning wood.

The flame of wooden wicks varies during lighting. Unlike cotton wicks, natural wood wicks create a more delicate flame, ensuring the diffusion of the beneficial effects and fragrance of Alvearia. Use a coaster to protect the support surfaces.

Beeswax, propolis and honey contain essential oils, resins and terpene compounds that have a beneficial effect on our body and mood . In addition, the negative ions produced by beeswax neutralize pollutants in the air, purifying it.

HOW TO LIGHT THE CANDLE:

Candles with wooden wicks take longer to absorb the wax and light so don't give up if the wick doesn't light on the first try, light it again and as the melted wax stretches into the wick you won't have to worry about it burning out.

The wooden wick needs to be set alight to burn properly, so when you light it, tilt the candle over the flame of the match or lighter so that the flame itself is in contact with the wick along its entire length.

The first lighting determines the duration of the candle. Alvearia's natural wax has its own memory, a kind of behavioral model: the first time the wax melts determines the way in which the wax will continue to melt, so I recommend that you light Alvearia for the first time only when you are sure that you can dedicate the necessary time to melt over the entire surface area, so that it melts up to the circumference of the container. This means that it will be possible to extinguish the candle when the wax has melted from one edge of the container to the other.

If you extinguish the candle early, the next time you burn it, a crater will form around the wick. From the second use onwards, it is not essential to repeat the procedure, but it is recommended to fully enjoy the benefits of Alvearia, so that the wax can refresh its memory each time. However, if you leave a candle lit for more than 2/3 hours, you risk overheating the wax, burning the fragrances and reducing the overall duration of the candle.

It is therefore recommended not to leave the candle lit for more than 3 consecutive hours.

Such prolonged burning often causes the wick to drown in the wax, if this should happen you can try to absorb the wax with a paper tissue so that the wick is long enough for the next lighting.

Wooden Wick Care : Before each lighting, cut or break the wooden wick to a length of about 2.5 mm and clean it from burnt residue from the previous burn. Wire cutters or nail scissors are excellent for trimming a wooden wick while you can collect the ash with a handkerchief or your fingers. To clean the wick, first let the wax cool and harden.
