Excellent served with sushi , Chinese " dim sum" cuisine and appetizers .

Prosecco is wine made from Glera grapes, which comes from the town of Prosecco (Trieste) here in Friuli. This vine has been used to make wine since Roman times .

The area of origin of Prosecco DOC is quite large and extends from the hills of Veneto to the hills of Friuli .

The current winemakers of Vendrame Vignis del Doge planted the first Prosecco vines about 5 years ago , so it appears to be a relatively new wine production.
The grapes are selected and harvested by hand in mid- August .
The type of soil on which the vines are grown is clayey and gravelly and the plant cultivation density is 4,000 vines per hectare.

It must be served cold.

The product contains sulphites .
