Smoked Sutina Caciotta

Smoked Caciotta Sutina is a cheese with unmistakable harmony, the result of the delicate taste of fresh caciotta and the soft aroma of smoking obtained with seasoned beech wood. It has a full and complete flavour, ideal as an appetizer, snack or intermezzo, accompanied by a full-bodied white Friulian wine.

Origin and Producer

Produced in the foothills of Friuli Venezia Giulia , this caciotta is made with very fresh whole and pasteurized milk, to which selected ferments are added. The artisanal process requires that the curd is not cooked, but only shaken to facilitate its drainage. The minimum maturation is 15-20 days, followed by a light smoking process lasting no more than 48 hours.

Consumer Experience

Smoked Caciotta Sutina has a soft, straw-coloured texture and a rind with more intense and marked nuances, which is not edible. Perfect to enjoy diced in cold dishes and salads, or used to fill pizzas and focaccias. A delight that enriches every meal with its unique flavour.
