Merlot 2021 - Brojli Wines Aquileia

The Vini Brojli winery, located in Aquileia, an area historically famous for wine production, is managed by the Clementin family who, with passion and dedication, continues the winemaking tradition begun in 1990. The name "Brojli" derives from the ancient "brogjilos", small plots cultivated with vines by Celtic and Roman farmers, intended for the local nobility.

This Merlot has an intense red color with garnet reflections and a rich and fruity bouquet, with notes of red flowers. The taste is pleasantly soft, quite tannic and with a persistent aftertaste. The grapes are grown on predominantly clayey soil, with an optimal yield per hectare according to the specifications. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel barrels at a controlled temperature, with frequent pumping over for about three weeks to extract maximum color and aroma from the skins.

Merlot 2021 is perfect for accompanying roast and grilled meats, mushroom or radicchio-based sauces, spicy dishes, mature or blue cheeses, first courses with meat sauces and risottos . The optimal serving temperature is 18-20 °C, to better appreciate all its aromatic nuances.
