The Picolit by Valchiarò Vini is an elegant wine, of a sunny yellow color with the shine of topaz ; in the mouth the sweet notes transform into aromas that give suggestions of candied fruit , lime honey , cooked apple juice , nougat and caramel .

It can be enjoyed with foie grais croutons, or as a classic meditation wine .

Picolit is a true gem of Friulian oenology , which has come back into fashion in the last 25 years .
Ambassador of Friuli on the tables of Kings, Popes and Emperors when in the 18th century it was cultivated on the hills of Fagagna by Count Fabio Asquini.

A genetic disease , floral abortion , is the reason for its limited diffusion , but it is also, at the same time, the reason why a universe of flavors is concentrated in its few, meager bunches that reach maturity.

It can be enjoyed with foie grais croutons, or as a classic meditation wine .

The winemaking techniques are soft destemming , cleaning of the must by decantation, start of fermentation with selected yeasts (fermentation temperature: 16-17°C), maturation in barriques for 12 months and glass.

It should be served fresh , not cold , at 14-16°C.

The product contains sulphites .
