Frico is a typical dish of Friuli Venezia Giulia cuisine, renowned for its history and versatility. Officially recognized as the PAT of Friulian and Julian cuisine and included in the official list of the Ministry of Agricultural, Food, Forestry and Tourism Policies, frico is one of the regional culinary specialties. This delight is also widespread in the Veneto, Slovenia and Carinthia, where it is known by the name of frika , although with different preparation methods.

Friulian frico is a dish based on cheese and potatoes, and can be prepared in two versions: crunchy, ideal for munching as a tasty snack, or soft, often served accompanied by polenta.

Bottega del Frico offers frico in the soft version, following the typical recipe and enriching it with a pinch of imagination and special ingredients to create different flavor variations. Each frico is vacuum packaged, guaranteeing a shelf life of 30 days from purchase and the need to store it in the refrigerator.

The vacuum-packed frico has an expiry date of 30 days from purchase, to be stored in the refrigerator.

Preparation method : remove from the vacuum, heat in a pan for about 5 minutes, turning it on both sides until the cheese strings.
