Cabernet Franc Vendrame Vignis del Doge is a dry red wine from Friuli Venezia Giulia, characterized by hints of blackberry, crushed black pepper, tobacco and leather. This artisanal Cabernet Franc represents the dedication of local winemakers who, through traditional techniques, offer a superior quality wine.

As with the Merlot vines, the first Cabernet Franc vines were imported from France in the late 19th century. The Vendrame Vignis del Doge vines were planted in the 1970s by the father of the current winemaker. Initially used as a blending wine, Cabernet Franc has developed a distinctive character over time that makes it perfect for everyday consumption.

Vendrame Vignis del Doge applies the Double Guyot training system for cultivation, with a density of approximately 4,700 vines per hectare and a yield of 95 q/ha. Ideal to pair with grilled red meats, goulash, chili con carne, but surprisingly delicious also served cold with crab and scampi. The recommended temperature for serving it is 16-18 °C.
