The Merlot of Cantina Borgo Savaian is a refined expression of Friuli Venezia Giulia . The winery, located in Cormòns, has been managed by the Savaian family for three generations and has been able to keep the winemaking tradition of the region alive. The founder Bruno, a tireless man, began cultivating the gravelly and marly lands of the Collio, a secret he passed down to his son Mario and daughter-in-law Marinella. Today, Stefano and Rosanna carry on the family legacy, combining tradition and innovation to create high-quality wines.

This Merlot stands out for its ruby red color with violet reflections and a very intense aroma. On the palate, it offers flavors of black cherry and raspberry, with a pleasant bitter note that makes it ideal for pairing with meat, roasts and game . Fermentation and maturation take place in stainless steel barrels at a controlled temperature, to guarantee the maximum aromatic expression of the wine. The optimal serving temperature is 18-20°C.
