Schioppettino by Dario Coos is a red wine with a curious name and a great personality. The term "Schioppo" was an ancient way of calling the rifle, the reference is perhaps linked to the intense scent of gunpowder and pepper that characterize it.

Schioppettino is a native vine of Friuli Venezia Giulia, it has a pale ruby red colour, typical of the variety. The nose is complex and broad, with a characteristic spicy hint reminiscent of black pepper. With refinement, the aromatic notes evolve towards ripe plum and liquorice. In the mouth it is medium-bodied, fresh and elegant, with herbaceous hints.

The Dario Coos winery, located in the heart of Friuli Venezia Giulia, is renowned for its tradition and quality. Each bottle is an expression of the passion and dedication that Dario Coos dedicates to viticulture, respecting the artisanal techniques handed down from generation to generation.

Perfect to accompany all cured meats in general, red meats that are not excessively large and fatty, spit-roasted meats, game and medium-aged cheeses. An ideal wine to enrich your dinners with a touch of elegance and Friulian tradition.
