The Friulano DOC Friuli Colli Orientali 2019 by Marina Danieli is a wine that embodies the tradition and refinement of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Produced with the historic Tocai grape, grown in the region since 1600, this wine comes from the hills of Buttrio, an exceptional terroir that gives the wine its unique characteristics.

The wine has a straw yellow color with green and golden reflections, bright and inviting. On the nose, a broad and persistent bouquet is perceived, with intense but delicate aromas of hay, wildflowers and chamomile . On the palate, it offers a full and soft taste, with good acidity that gives structure and freshness, accompanied by a pleasant almond aftertaste.

The Marina Danieli winery is located in Buttrio, in the DOC area of the Colli Orientali del Friuli. The Danieli family, who have run the company for generations, are renowned for producing high-quality wines using sustainable and innovative techniques. The harvest is manual and involves a short maceration with the skins to add structure and body to the wine , followed by fermentation and aging in stainless steel.

The 2019 Friulano is perfect as an aperitif and pairs beautifully with fish dishes, shellfish and sausages. It is also ideal with vegetable-based dishes, such as omelettes with wild herbs or a potato and chard soup. Serve chilled at a temperature of 12-14°C to fully appreciate all the aromatic nuances.
